Grand Canyon View #8
This is from my trip to the Grand Canyon National Park and what an incredible trip it was! Went by wayyyy toooo fast!!! We drove in at night so that our first look at the canyon was when we went out to watch sunrise. Maybe will share one of those another time
This was while walking and exploring the South Rim. I have an issue with heights and thought that I would end up staying along the rim. I did not I was intrigued by the Bright Angel Trail and what I could see... drawing me in ... the farther I went, the more I saw, the more I wanted to see... and down the trail we went! OMG it was glorious!! Amazing! Awesome! Enchanting! Captivating! All consuming!
And let me tell you, the beauty was magical...
A little tip for those who don't like heights... it is actually easy going down, everything is before you, you can survey your surroundings and find comfort level and enjoy it all!! So much to see ALL around you!
We decided to turn around at the 3 mile resthouse to be able to make it back to the rim for sunset. Welllll... let me tell you... that comfort level I found on the way down... that wide open vision... all vanished in that 180 turn! That path that I was comfortable on... seemed to shrink to so narrow... focus became solely on the path ... started to panic thinking I wasn't going to make it out, I was sure was going to fall off.... stop... take a deep breath... look around... take another deep breath... exhale and slowly put one foot in front of the other... you will make it out... you will see amazing sights all around you.. you will be thrilled with yourself that you went on the adventure and were able to take it in and experience all that you did! What a wonderful experience!
